I restore my computer back to an earlier time to get rid of viruses?

I did the whole system restore and backed up some documents.

After I did the restore I set a date to roll back to the time right after the restore, but since I don't have to use the disks I am wondering if setting back to this TIME will rid of any viruses I get, or do I need the disks again.

Answer is no. Going back will not remove the viruses. Run your anti-virus program you have, and if that doesnt cut it, Reformat it.

Or once you have restored,you could delete your restore points and that should get rid of the viruses
The Virus will still be inside your HDD but not installed and not affecting anything.. just done go to that site you got it from again ;p
yes,it will still be there cause the virus would obviously spread.

but dont worry . you can still use an anti virus software and remove it . I've done this lot of times , this works.

and also you dont need the disc again.
