I am buying a new computer and I don't want any problems or viruses my computer might have (i think it does) to my new one?

run some protective programs on the old computer before transferring any files to the new one.. if you don't have any I suggest you go to www.download.com There is a search bar at the top. Type in :

AVG FREE anti-virus download it then update it.. Then look for SPY BOT Search and Destroy..download it and update it.. After you update Spy Bot , click on "Immunize" on the main Spy Bot page.. let it run ..A window may pop up telling you, so many things have been blocked and there are so many that can be blocked... if it does , then click immunize at the top. This loads the definitions. Click block pages silently also..Then go to www. lavasoft.com and look for AD-Aware SE personal edition..Download it and then update it... These programs are all free..Then run all three programs.

Then put protection on the new computer BEFORE you put any files from the old computer in there. That way you are protected from anything that might be transferred. You can use these free programs on both computers..

send your files to your yahoo email and yahoo will check them for viruses then you can down load them

get a usb external drive say 200gb for $70..trnsfer the folders and file you need to it.go to ebay and buy hard drive cd eraser for under $5..pop it in the old pc %26wipe off everything on the drive.buy and .pop in xp or vista in dvd/cd rom drive..abracadabra..you have a new pc.u may buy another pc if u still wish,this time install antivirus and internet security....www.pctools.com [is good for protection]
