In 6 years we are yet to see a virus take OS X out en masse.

It is not the obscurity factor. for even symbian for mobile phones has a lesser market share and more viruses than OS X. This doesn't mean there won't ever be viruses for the Mac system, but so far it has proved to hard to do when there are are far easier targets out there (namely windows).

Perhaps the question that should be asked is why so many people choose to use a system with so many built in security flaws like windows when the alternative is so obviously more secure. More importantly, why does Microsoft insist in repeating the same mistakes over and over again to the detriment of its user base?

As for what Mac users will do when Virus makers finally get their act together? We will deal with it.
