Why do we only get the chicken pox once but other viruses more than once?

I know in rare cases, some people can get the chicken pox more than once, but for the vast majority it is only once. However viruses like the flu, and stuff can be caught multiple times鈥?how is this?

The chicken pox virus doesn't mutate as often or as quickly as the flu. Our bodies develop antibodies to ward off the virus if we're exposed again to chicken pox.

when you catch the chicken pox virus for the first time you get chicken pox. Once you have recovered, the virus lies dormant in your spine and can come back as shingles and is brought on by stress, being run down. contrary to popular belief you cant catch shingles and will only have it if you have already had chicken pox.

flu is a virus but as there are so many different types of viruses and variations, although vaccinations are available, we cannot immunise against them all.

You cannot catch the same cold twice, but the many variations of the cold virus often result in the same symptoms
Chicken pox is a type of infection that doesn't change. Where as the flu in a viral infection that mutates and therefore your bodies immune system is fighting a new infection everytime you get it. Just like a cold. There are so many different types there is much difficulty to find a vaccine that will treat them all. That's why the flu shot is given every year. It is to treat the previous year's flu, that's why some people get the flu when they get the vaccine; their body has not yet been exposed to that type.
IT IS NOT ONLY CHICKEN POX THAT WE GET ONCE, SOME OTHER VIRUSES HAVE THE SAME CONDITION
