i got limewire and then i got a load of viruses so i went to the other anem on the computer and it still kinda got effected is there any way i can fix it?i downloaded limewire on administartors side of the computer so i cant downlaod anything on the side im on and i went on the administartors side and tried to change me to admin. but i kept not responding it sucks!

You probably have a lot of Spyware as well. Adaware, which can be found at download.com, is a great free program.

Refresh your comp erase everything. Then reinstall your operating system and other programs etc.... If you have a ghost copy i would recommend using that or a recovery cd i would also recommend using.
download a free antivirus program like avg from download.com. should be good enough!
You can install Anti-virus software! You can make a back up and then re-install your windows! May be this would work. Best of luck!!!

Yes Its full of virus'! I dont know the story, pursue but

I just tell people to change your password often (obviously don't click on adds and everything you see) and if it doesnt look right when your logging in ,don't! (fishing) I have not had any real problems but tons of people I know have! you will usually know this when it sends out "bulletins" in your name, trying to sell stuff like visa or porn sites or a common 1 is "track who's spying on your myspace" thats all bad! also don't click on anything for adult stuff even if it says its form myspace its a trojan! as long as you smart and not click happy you should be ok! good luck!

myspace as any web side of that type is full of crap. you have to be careful when and what you download and from whom
I have not heard this. It is also completely illogical. MySpace is a secure site and has enough advertising that they do not need to place viruses. Also, the only things that can be uploaded onto MySpace that are virus prone are music files. So it's really your preference in which files you believe are credible and safe. Lastly, it may be safer not to follow links from pictures, because you do not know where the links originate or if the link is connecting you to a secure site.

But limewire is ok if you don't download anything that looks dodgy. E.g incomplete song title and details, or files sizes that are unusual sizes.
Well, I will admit it is not the greatest, especially with the speed, but KCeasy isn't bad. It hasn't given me any viruses that I know of. This is a good program for me, but with any file sharing program, you just have to know which one to download. If the file says it is only a few kilobytes, and it is a song or a movie, DO NOT download it. This could be a virus. Also, to protect your computer, you can download or buy an antivirus, such as AVG or Norton, and I think you can get these antivirus programs specifically for protecting you from viruses caused by file sharing programs. I am sorry, but I do not know of any file sharing antiviruses. Try looking it up. I hope this helps.

Has anyone used a UV light for killing dust mites, viruses, and bacteria to help alleviate allergies

My 2 1/2 year old daughter has terrible allergies, she has been suffering since she was 5 months old. She had 12 sinus infections and 3 ear infections in her first 2 years alone. We started her on Flonase 6 months ago, which really helped teh infections, but since September 1st she has had a lot of congestion again, and has been coughing for at least 2 hours each night due to drainage. We had a Sharper Image UV air purifier, but it has broken 2 weeks ago and we are getting it replaced, not having the unit may be making her allergies worse, we are not sure. We tried Claritin syrup for the past 2 weeks but it does not agree with her stomach. Would a portable UV lamp wand help with some of her symptoms? Has anyone tried the UV wands for dust mites, bacteria, and viruses? The one I see on-line costs nearly $300, would a small aquarium UV light work in the same way for a lot less? ($50?) What is your opinion on UV light alleviating dust mite allergies, do you think it is worth it?

Your daughter would benefit more from a regular HEPA air purifier. The Sharper Image ones are better than none at all, but they do not do the job that a normal air purifier does. There is no substitute for one as you are finding out. It does not take dust, pollen, danders out of the air like a HEPA does. If you're ready to spend $300. on her health, it would be a good idea if you purchase a HEPA air purifier as they are the only ones that would be able to help her breathing.

I have used AVG Anti Virus, Zone Alarm Firewall, Spy-bot Search and Destroy and Ad Aware both spyware killers for years. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans etc. AVG does not slow the system down as much as some other products and Zone Alarm allows a lot of personal configuration unlike the Windows Firewall. On the home page select downloads and then the appropriate category.I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly. Hope this helps
