My fatrher doesn't want me to download limewire because he says it has viruses. IS THAT TRUE?????

Yes limewire gives you viruses. In fact, downloading anything can give you viruses. I know this for a fact because I have a virus scan and after I download from limewire, I scan and find tons of viruses that I've never had before. I don't use limewiere anymore.

The actual program wont contain any viruses. You can go to www.download.com and find it available there for download.

As far as the media you download, thats another story. The first advice is, don't download movies. They are historically the most infected files (especially porn and any brand new movies that might have just recently been released in theaters).

I usually stick to songs that have been around for a long time (at least a year or so). And I also download files that a bunch of other people have (it makes the download faster, and has a less chance of containing a virus).

all peer to peer sharing leaves you completely exposed to any manner of virus. your hard drive is open for anyone to come inside and do what they please.
